The Diamond Lake Improvement Association, Inc of Dayton, MN was formed in 2012 to respond to impaired lake quality issues, incorporated in 2013 and is a 501(c)(3) organization.
The purpose of our organization is:
- To support and conduct non-partisan research, education, and informational activities
to increase public awareness of the Diamond Lake
- To improve the lake quality and habitat
- To prevent lake quality deterioration
Our main project for this year is treatment of the curly-leaf pondweed invasive species. In addition, we are involved in the Adopt a Highway program for two roads around the lake area, and typically have a float in the Dayton Heritage Day parade.
